Founder's Story

Hi, I'm Samantha

Founder, Valley Lagree

Valley Lagree was born out of a personal journey with fitness that began back in 2014 in Vancouver, where I first discovered Lagree at a studio in Gastown. I was immediately drawn to how challenging and effective the workout was, pushing both strength and endurance.

After having my son Liam, I noticed a shift in my body and muscle density and felt a strong desire to rebuild my strength and reconnect with that feeling of being physically strong and confident.

When my husband and I decided to make a move to Gilbert, I realized there was a gap in the local fitness scene—especially with the nearest Lagree studio being over 20  minutes away. Knowing firsthand how transformative the method can be, I saw an opportunity to bring something truly valuable to the community. That vision became Valley Lagree: a space where others can experience the same powerful, full-body workouts that helped me feel strong again, all within a supportive and accessible environment close to home.

Before opening Valley Lagree, I spent 13 years in the travel industry as a consultant in Vancouver, where I managed teams and led profitable locations while building a career centered on creating meaningful experiences. During that time, I also had the opportunity to travel extensively, visiting over 36 countries and gaining a broader perspective that continues to shape how I approach business and community.

After staying home with my son Liam for two years, I knew I wanted to return to the workforce in a more personal and fulfilling way, and with my passion for Lagree, I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship—creating Valley Lagree as a space that blends my professional experience with my love for helping others feel strong, confident, and supported.

When I’m not working, I’m a total girls’ girl who thrives on connection and community—I love taking Lagree classes with friends, grabbing coffee and catching up, and spending time shopping or just enjoying a day out together.

Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones, like playing with my son Liam and being fully present with him.
